Mathematical idea: the equation of an 'inverse surface' generated the outline of two key programmatic elements we added to the competition brief: the floating island, and the artificial reef .

Mathematical idea: thanks to the rotational symmetries of this equation, the flatpack joist and plywood skin of the resulting shed is modular, repetitive - and totally affordable.
